The Life of a University Student Burns!

It most certainly does!
Have you ever noticed that the word DYING is in the end of the word STUDYING?
I wake up at 7 a.m everyday... but somehow I always seem to be running late...
Then comes class nº1, and class nº2 and 3 and so on... and it never stops...
I mean, it stops for lunch... and I kind of wish it didn't 'cause school food is God's way of punishing us poor students!!!
Then, there's all the people you know in there, and you can say what you want but its humanly impossible to remember all the names, dates, occasions, obscure references to other, equally unknown or unrelated people... by the end of the day I, sometimes wonder if I haven't somehow exchanged places with some other person, if maybe I’m living someone else’s life... talking to this other person's friends, doing their homework, assisting to their classes, studying for their exams, eating their food, carrying their bag and books...
I understand that that is how you are suppose to feel during your first year in University... that you aren't suppose to know where all the classes are, or even your schedule really... but its really stupid, and hard to accept is it not?
You spend all the time from 5ºgrade to 9ºgrade trying to learn as much as you can, because you think that that's the way to understand school, and what is to be a student, then you get to 9ºgrade and you think: "Finally I’ve got it..." you breath in relief, and picture the years ahead. Years of peace, quiet and security... you poor dreamer! You have no idea that as soon as you reach 10 º grade, (normally in a completely different school), it all starts again, everything shifts and changes, the priorities are all rearranged, and you must redefine your notions of studying and what means to be a student.
You think that now that you are older you can learn the "Ways of the Land" much sooner; well that's a common mistake, my friend! Because, you see, the "Ways of the Land" have too grown, and became much more complicated... then, it's 12ºgrade and you think you finally got the hang of it all again... You say to your buttons: "I'm now a student, and I can achieve whatever grades and assemble as much knowledge as I want (yeah, right!) So even though, I don't have to, I’m going to make my parents proud and continue with my everlasting search for knowledge, this time in University! The Land of Freedom! The Land of the Brave! Where all is Honey and Milk! I mean. How hard can it be, right?" Now, is that a rhetorical question?!!
As soon as you get to University... Playtime is over!
University is the standing proof, that God has a sense of humour!
And everyday I go there, I’m reminded, that teachers often don't...
